The Facilities Approach to Infectious Diseases

At Hideout Okinawa Uruma, prioritizing guest safety and employee health in response to COVID-19, we have implemented the following measures and seek your understanding and cooperation.

Facility Initiatives

  • At check-in, we inquire about the health and recent travel history of guests, especially those coming from overseas.
  • We request guests who have visited regions or countries with recent COVID-19 outbreaks to stay in their rooms.
  • Our cleaning protocol includes thorough ventilation, cleaning, and disinfection of high-touch areas like doorknobs and toilet seats.
  • Hand sanitizer is available in guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Social distancing measures are in place during check-in and in common areas.
  • For extended stays, we do not clean rooms daily but provide amenities in advance.
  • During payment, we use cash trays and disinfect items like pens.
  • Guests are encouraged to use hand sanitizer.

Public Space

  • We follow recommended ventilation standards and limit elevator capacity to avoid crowding.
  • Regular disinfection of high-touch areas in hallways, lobbies, and elevators.
  • We use ethanol-based or hypochlorous acid-based disinfectants for high-touch areas.

Employee Measures

  • Daily temperature checks, mandatory mask-wearing, and promoting hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
  • Employees with symptoms are instructed to stay home and seek medical advice.
  • Limiting business travel and in-person meetings to prevent crowded conditions.

Guest Requests

  • Guests with symptoms like fever or feeling unwell are asked to refrain from visiting.
  • If feeling unwell during the visit, please inform staff immediately.
  • Cooperation in using hand sanitizer and wearing masks inside the facility is appreciated.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
